Table Decorations

As a part of your rehearsal, it is always a great idea to set up a mock table in advance to make sure that it looks just as you imagine for your event. One thing to look for is if your decorations or displays are so big that they blocks the view of your guests sitting at the table.

Helpful hints: When setting up your seating arrangement, if you decide to place people who don’t know one another at a table, try breaking the ice by placing the names of each guest on a card placed under their coffee cup. Once everyone has been seated, have the DJ make an announcement for each guest to look under their coffee cup and try and guess the name of the person on the card. As each guest is identified, have them tell everyone a little about themselves. This is a great opportunity for your guests to get to know one another before dinner is served and helps your guests feel more at ease.
